About Dan Patterson
Dan Patterson is a West Texas based Americana singer-songwriter. With a focus on reviving the storytelling side of music, Dan draws much of his influence from artist such as Jason Isbell, Drew Kennedy, and John Moreland. Recently featured in the Fort Worth music publication, Rattle Magazine, Patterson has been creating quite the buzz over the last few months.
2018 is full of excitement, and most of that excitement stems from the fact Dan and the guys are headed back into the studio with Dave Percefull at YellowDog-Wimberely. With strong influences from song writers such as Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and The White Buffalo, the new album is designed especially for those that enjoy the story-teller side of songwriting.
2017 was a year full of live performances! With almost 200 paid shows, Dan greatly increased both his availability to new fans, and his touring territory. Adding dates in Lousiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Missouri saw a whole slew of new opportunity throughout the year.
2016 saw the release of Patterson's songwriter album, "My Own Best Enemy". The album helped establish an international presence for the songwriter. With sales and play from Rio de Janeiro to Paris and Hamburg to Hiroshima, "My Own Best Enemy" opened up a literal world of opportunities for Dan and his band!
He released his first full album, "Smoke in My Lungs". Recorded at YellowDOG Studios in Austin, TX., the album is a collaboration of talent such as Dave Percefull, David Abeyta, and Kim Deschamps. "Smoke in My Lungs" has become an excellent launching point for Patterson's emerging career. An internationally acclaimed album, voted the #11 album of 2013 by Southern Rock Brazil. The album also features several songs on New Slang's "Top 100 Songs of 2013".
As with most things in Patterson's life, his outlook on music is to "love what you're doing, and have fun doing it. It you're not having fun, it's not worth doing. Shows with lots of energy and lots laughs are the goal. So, thank you for all of your support, and we hope to see you down the road!"
