“Strong songwriters manage to make even their most personal work resonate with an audience. At his best, Patterson illuminates the common mistakes and desires that bind us together as people, emphasizing that we are far from alone on life’s chaotic journey. ”
Project Name
BIO- From growing up in the small, seldom noticed West Texas town of Farwell, to making his name in the talent-dense hub of Lubbock, Americana singer-songwriter Dan Patterson has always approached his endeavors with enthusiasm and passion. Although he grew up singing in church and functions such as the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo, Dan didn't really discover his love of entertaining others until early on in his tenure at Texas Tech University. It was there that Dan began playing guitar and writing original music, and music has been a driving force in his life ever since. Now, those around him are starting to take notice.
ACTIVITY- Currently, Dan and the guys are in working on their third studio album at YellowDog Studios with producers David Percefull and Adam Odor. However, recording and promotion has not slowed Patterson from playing all over the southern and central United States at a frantic pace. After finishing out the year of 2016 having played 153 shows, Dan beat that personal record for shows played in a year by 25 with 178 shows in 2017! While this may seem like a lot to many, Dan's theory has always been, "I want to play so much that people can't help but know who I am", and he is striving to do just that!
BAND- The heart and dedication that Dan and his band put on display each time they step on a stage be it in solo, roots trio, or rocking full band act is apparent to all those within ear shot. Band members include Lucas Tomblin on bass/upright, Stephen Costancio on drums, and Adam Urbanczyk on Lead Guitar.
CREDENTIALS- With a personality and stage presents big enough to fill every stage he has played, from the smallest restaurant bar to The Grizzly Rose (the worlds second largest honky-tonk), Patterson beams with a genuine delight that has not gone unnoticed by larger acts that he has performed with including: Vince Gill, Jason Boland, Stoney LaRue, Roger Creagor, Susan Gibson, etc.
SUMMARY- Be it the quantity and quality of his live shows or the meticulousness of the story and character creation of his latest recording venture, Dan Patterson leaves no doubt that the creation and performance of music is what he was meant to do. "At his best, Patterson illuminates the common mistakes and desires that bind us together as people, emphasizing that we are far from alone on life’s chaotic journey."
